Social Work Services
The Department of Social Work Services offers professional psychosocial needs assessments, interventions, and coordination of community resources by qualified, experienced staff. We work in conjunction with the other members of your medical team, for individuals and families to better face the challenges of a health crisis and to maximize recovery efforts.
Social work services are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30pm, for patients, families, and community inquiries throughout the Newport Hospital and Health Services district – which includes Newport Hospital, Emergency Department, Newport Health Center, River Mountain Village Assisted Living, and River Mountain Village Advanced Care.
The department’s mission upholds the inherent dignity and right for all persons to receive services regardless of race, religion, orientation, or cultural differences.
