Race sponsor Keith Campbell presented the 2021 award to the 81-year-old Trout who received a special plaque. Her name will also be added to the perpetual plaque displayed at Newport Community Hospital. With each year, the Foundation will recognize a new winner who, like Trout, embodies the Spirit of Autumn Bloom.

Officers from the City of Newport Police Department and Fire District 4 provided route security for the 100 participants as they raced through downtown Newport. Runners were encouraged along the route by veteran bike marshals (Glennis Stott and Sophia Stott) and more than 50 community volunteers including groups from House of the Lord School and representatives from Newport High School.  Race emcee/deejay Keith Campbell fired up the crowd and welcomed them across the finish line. This year’s Newport Autumn Bloom benefits Newport Community Hospital’s Family Birth Center.  Race times were verified by Negative Split Timing Services.
