American Heart Association recognizes excellence in rural healthcare
NEWPORT — Newport Hospital and Health Services (NHHS) has been recognized with three 2026 American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines® Rural achievement awards, highlighting the organization’s commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care for patients experiencing heart attack and stroke.
The awards recognize NHHS for consistently following the latest clinical guidelines to improve outcomes for patients in rural communities.
For 2026, NHHS received:
- Gold recognition, Get With The Guidelines®–Rural Stroke
- Silver recognition, Get With The Guidelines®–Rural Coronary Artery Disease NSTE-ACS
- Bronze recognition, Get With The Guidelines®–Rural Coronary Artery Disease STEMI
These national recognitions demonstrate NHHS’s dedication to delivering timely, evidence-based treatment for patients experiencing heart attack and stroke, ensuring they receive care that aligns with nationally recognized best practices.
