NOTICE OF SALE OF SHED BY SEALED BID

Newport Hospital and Health Services is soliciting sealed bids for the sale of one shed in “as is” condition. 

The shed is located on NHHS property just southeast of the intersection of Spruce Street and Cass Avenue. The shed’s dimensions are 10’ x 20’ with a 9’ peak. It is wired for lighting and electrical.

The shed will be open for public viewing from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2025. For assistance or questions with viewing, call 509-290-9069.

To submit a bid

Sealed bids must be physically delivered by 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025, to:

Bids must include:

• Full name of bidder
• Contact information, including address, phone, and email
• Bid amount in U.S. dollars (NHHS reserves the right to reject any bid under $300)
• Signature agreeing to terms of sale

Blank bid forms may be downloaded or picked up at the Admitting Desk.

Bids will be opened and read aloud at 11:30 a.m. June 18, 2025, in the Pine Street Café, the cafeteria located on the lower level of Newport Community Hospital.

Terms of sale

The accepted bid shall be paid in cash on the date awarded.

It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to safely remove the shed within 7 days of purchase. The removal must be accomplished with the approval and coordination of NHHS staff. Failure to meet these terms could result in the default of the bid at the discretion of NHHS staff.

District officials, the requesting employee in the department, the requesting department manager and/or supervisor signing the request form, and the materials management manager processing the request and their immediate family are restricted from purchasing the surplus items due to conflict of interest concerns.
