NHHS Receives Gold Distinction for Quality Excellence from Washington State Hospital Association
Newport Hospital and Health Services receives Critical Access Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence from Washington State Hospital Association.
Newport Hospital and Health Services (NHHS) has been named a recipient of the Critical Access Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence from the Washington State Hospital Association (WSHA) for its quality work. The Association presented the award to NHHS during its Rural Hospital Leadership Conference in Chelan June 25.
NHHS earned the gold award distinction, which is the achievement’s highest designation. Quality measures considered this year include fall prevention, sepsis and opioid harm prevention.
Newport Hospital and Health Services is dedicated to serving our community with integrity and exceptional quality care. This recognition reflects NHHS’s ongoing commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care to every individual.
“I was honored to accept the award on behalf of the care teams who bring quality care every day to Newport Community Hospital,” said Kim Manus, NHHS CEO. “Achieving this level of excellence is only possible because of the dedication and collaboration of our entire team who strive each day to improve outcomes, reduce harm, and ensure compassionate care. We remain committed to building on this momentum in the months and years ahead.”
The Critical Access Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence is awarded to hospitals that demonstrate remarkable dedication to health care quality. To obtain the recognition, hospitals must participate in data submission through the Washington State Healthcare Authority’s Medicaid Quality Incentive Program, which is managed by WSHA.
“We are incredibly proud of our Critical Access Hospital Achievement of Quality Excellence recipients,” WSHA Senior Vice President of Clinical Excellence Darcy Jaffe said. “The Association and our hospital members take great pride in providing patients with outstanding care, as quality is the cornerstone of all health care. Everyone, no matter where they live in the state, should be able to access quality health care, and our members help make that possible.”
