Assessing Health Needs in Pend Oreille County

On April 24, 2025, the Pend Oreille County Public Hospital District #1 Board of Hospital Commissioners approved the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). 

Newport Hospital & Health Services 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment

Using this CHNA, we worked with the Pend Oreille Health Coalition to identify significant health needs of the community.

• Access to behavioral healthcare and Substance Use Disorder treatment services;
• Access to healthcare services;
• Access to chronic disease prevention, especially cardiovascular disease and Type II diabetes;
• Access to workforce education.
