Description

POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for performing routine duties as directed by the Laboratory Manager.  Performs chemical, microscopic, serologic, hematologic, immunohematologic, parasitic, and bacteriologic tests to provide data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease.  Performs routine and complex analysis.  Monitors quality control.  Exercises independent judgement in lab decisions.  May perform some phlebotomy duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science field from an accredited school. Graduate of approved medical technology internship. Licensure as a medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist by ASCP or equivalent, with generalist an venipuncture skills.
