Description

PRIMARY SHIFT:  Day 12:00 – 8:30 p.m.

APPROXIMATE HOURS PER TWO WEEK PAY PERIOD:  80 Full Time Temporary (Non-Benefitted)

POSITION SUMMARY:  Obtains blood samples by skin puncture/ venipuncture. Instructs patients in proper collection of urine samples. Performs finger-sticks. Prepares samples for reference labs.   Ability to work within the Lab module of EPIC to input and receive specimens, look up results and review input orders into paperwise. Be flexible to handle a 3 week rotation for weekend coverage.

Requirements

• Phlebotomy skills with a Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomy license preferred license but can be obtained. Strong customer service skills. Good computer skills EPIC experience preferred. Able to work well with others. Must be able to multitask and interpret orders and process specimens for testing. High school graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology and phlebotomy experience required. Would prefer current in BLS/CPR. Would prefer already trained for DOT Drug Screen collections.
